Co-founded in 2020 by Marcel Nawalany, Roger Heines, Tomislav Schubert, and Sandro Rüttimann, BitCargo is located in Berlin, Germany, and Krakow, Poland - the regionally renowned logistics hub for Europe. The founding team has a strong logistics and IT background and grew up in an environment marked by technological changes and the demand for quick adoption.
They understand the need of the industry for cost-effective solutions and share a common vision of IT being the enabler to drive digitization, transforming the logistics industry to the next level.
Marcel is passionate about logistics and supply chain processes. He holds a M.Sc in Logistics. During his studies, Marcel already worked for his family business NAWI-TRANS and has founded Nawi Logistics, a consultancy for small businesses that provides strategy & operations solutions. He is responsible for BitCargo's strategic development.
Tomislav holds a Bachelor in Applied Computer Science / Internet Engineering. Two years ago, he founded his own Tech Consulting company, which consults multinationals in large-scale technology-driven transformation projects. Before starting his own business, he worked at a renowned technology consulting firm as a technology advisor for clients in different global transformation and transition projects and was a hiring manager.
Sales & Marketing
Sandro worked for 2 years in software engineering as a project manager / consultant and then changed to a start-up in computer vision. Currently, he implements and manages customer projects using3D sensor data to interpret the physical space in real time. He graduates in winter from the university of St. Gallen in Business Innovation with a strong focus on information technology.
After his Master in Industrial Engineering, Roger worked as a consultant in Strategy & Operations for projects in the process, automotive and supply industries. Now, as a PhD student at the Business Engineering Institute St. Gallen and the University of St. Gallen, he is researching how innovative technologies in the context of blockchain and DLT will revolutionize the exchange of information in financial networks and future services.
